People's Defense Units (YPG) have carried out an operation last night against al-Qaeda-linked armed gangs in Tirbespiyê and Kobani. In the operation 46 al-Qaeda militants and 2 YPG guerrillas died. 

It is reported that clashes begun on Tuesday night in the villages of Taya, Mazluman and Sofya (Tirbespiye) where militants of al-Qaeda-linked groups like al-Nusra Front and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria are active.

The clashes lasted until 5.30 this morning and a result of them at least 26 islamic militants died. Two YPG guerrillas also lost their live in these clashes.

In a second operation carried out by YPG forces in the village of İlacax (Kobani), 20 al-Nusra Front militants were killed.
