Intense clashes continue in Batani (Al Bayatra) and Al Barid neighborhoods of Raqqa. 16 gang members have been killed in the clashes, and an ammunition warehouse was seized from the gangs in the southern part of the city.
The operation to liberate Raqqa has been in progress for 14 days. The clashes that broke out when fighters retaliated an ISIS attack yesterday at 19.40 on Batani and Al Barid neighborhoods continue still. According to reports, at least 16 gang members have been killed in the two neighborhoods and 4 bodies were seized.
Apart from the eastern and western fronts, SDF fighters also continue their advance towards the city center from the south of Raqqa. The area has seen intense clashes for the last two days and many gang members have been killed. In addition, an ammunition warehouse with mortars and various weapons and their rounds has been seized.
Last night a bomb-laden vehicle was destroyed in Batani.
