French Communist Party (PCF) called on French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his European associates to “hear and recognize the fair anger of Kurds”.
In a statement released by the party, PCF strongly condemned the Roboski slaughter which left 35 civilians dead on 28 December and remarked that “the slaughter resulted from Recep Tayyip Erdoðan government’s rage against the Kurdish people and the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party).
The statement continued saying that; “The oppressive policy of the Turkish government results in civilian killings and arrest of hundreds of opponents, journalists, lawyers and elected representatives.”
“NATO’s significant member Turkey doesn’t only shelve its responsibility in Armenian Genocide but also executes the severest oppression on the Kurdish people under the overwhelming silence of France and the European Union”,underlined the Communist Party.
The statement ended calling on Nicolas Sarkozy and his European associates to voice the deep bitterness caused by this cruelty to Ankara.
