Peace vigil in Istanbul
The slogan of the peace vigil was simple but effective: "Government, make a move".
Organized by the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party), the Saturday's Mothers and TUAD the vigil begun on Friday night in front of Galatasaray High School and ended this morning.
BDP İstanbul co-chair Arife Çınar said that "we are ready to hold a vigil everyday until the government takes a step towards peace".
A banner on the gates of the high school reminded of the violence Kurs in Rojava are suffering.
The crowd joining the vigil chanted slogans directed at the government and in support of the actions for peace taken by the PKK.
