Thousands of people have came together in Izmir to protest against the murder of Þerzan Kurt who died at the fascist attacks in Muðla.
BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) PMs Sýrrý Sakýk and Nuri Yaman are also there to protest. The mass wants to walk out to Cumhuriyet Square but police doesn’t allow it. The area has been blockaded by mobile forces and panzers while the people are waiting for the walk. Besides, helicopters are flying on the demonstrators on air.
At the press conference, Muþ PM Nuri Yaman spoke as follows; “ We have messages to the people of Ýzmir to make the deaths and blooding of brothers come to an end. The state shouldn’t be obstinated with its people. We will meet the Governor. They have to permit the walk because we are trying to mention our demand for peace. They should open the way, Ýzmir belongs only to the state, but also to Kurdish people.”
