The PKK Executive Committee issued a statement calling on people to develop the struggle to break isolation in Imrali.

The statement is as follows: “As the Kurdistan Freedom Movement and the Kurdish people, we are experiencing a new sacrifice Month. June is our month of sacrifice. The month of Martyr Helmet (Diyar Xerip), the valiant son of our Bashur Kurdistan people, the leader militant, the symbol of Kurdish patriotism and unity. The month of the realization of the self-defeating revolutionary militancy that succeeded in the apoist line. On this basis, we celebrate the Month of Sacrifice of all our comrades and our people, and we commemorate all our heroic martyrs in the person of Zilan and Helmet with respect and gratitude.

This June, too, as the Movement and the people, we are waging a heroic struggle in the line of self-sacrifice of Zilan, Sema, Gulan and Helmet. We are developing our Dem Dema Azadiyê initiative, which aims at the physical freedom of Leader Apo, in every field and on the line of victory. Our heroic guerrilla forces are leading this freedom resistance by inflicting devastating blows on AKP-MHP fascism in all areas of Kurdistan and Turkey, especially in Zap, Avaşin and Metina. Led by women and youth, our patriotic people and our democratic friends are protesting AKP-MHP fascism in four parts of Kurdistan and all over the world.”

The statement continued: “It is clear that the AKP-MHP fascism, whose plans were spoiled after being hit hard by the guerrilla resistance in Zap, Avaşin and Metina, is trying to concoct new games and beg everyone's help in order to prevent its collapse. While it commits war crimes by using chemical weapons against the guerrillas, it also attacks the people and democratic political forces. When these attacks are not enough, it seeks the opportunity to carry out an invasion on North-East Syria by begging for more help from NATO and Russia. In order to prolong the life of the government, as Zap had not given the expected results, the government is looking for new attacks to get a cheap victory.

Resistance will save humanity

No matter what it does, there is no way for AKP-MHP fascism to save itself and survive. Zap and the whole of Kurdistan have become a grave for the AKP-MHP fascist-genocidal mentality and politics. Our heroic guerrillas and popular resistance, which developed under the leadership of the historical Imrali Resistance, started the process of burying the anti-Kurdish fascist-genocidal mentality and politics in Kurdistan. Undoubtedly, this great resistance will continue by continuing, it will save all humanity from the AKP-MHP and its allies, ISIS and Al-Qaeda.

On the basis of these, we salute our women and people who sacrificed themselves and heroically resisted for freedom.

We salute the HPG and YJA-Star, who wrote epics by inflicting fatal blows on AKP-MHP fascism all over Kurdistan in Kurojahro, Shikefta Birindara, Werxelê, Çiyayê Reş, Tepe Cudi and Tepe Hakkari. We salute all the heroic commanders and fighters and celebrate their success. We express our belief that they will achieve new and greater victories every day. We commemorate all our heroic martyrs.”

The statement added: “We salute everyone who crosses the road to Gemlik by facing all kinds of difficulties and dangers to demand the physical freedom of Leader Apo, our patriotic people and democratic friends who demand Leader Apo's physical freedom by filling the streets and squares in four parts of Kurdistan, Europe and all over the world.

We join this historic call issued by Komalen Ciwan, who called for mobilization by saying 'Werin Cenga Azadiyê', and on this basis, we salute the Kurdish youth who joined the guerrilla and developed the freedom resistance in every field, and all the internationalist revolutionary youth who never let go of the torch of revolution. The victory will always belong to the youth that sacrifices without hesitation along the Apoist line.

We have ruined the dirty tricks of the anti-Kurdish, fascist-genocidal mentality and politics, and we will do so in the future. We have broken the invading and genocidal attacks so far, and we will do so in the future. We have been held accountable for collaboration and betrayal until now, and we will from now on. As long as fascism, colonialism, occupation, genocide, collaboration and betrayal exist, our historical struggle for freedom and democracy will also exist and will always continue on the line of victory. Our heroic guerrilla forces will successfully fulfil the historical task of holding accountable and applying justice. Our guerrilla-led popular resistance will definitely win by breaking the Imrali isolation and overthrowing the AKP-MHP fascism.

On this basis, we commemorate our heroic martyrs once again with respect and gratitude. We call on all Kurdish people and their friends, especially women and youth, to develop the struggle to break the Imrali isolation and overthrow the AKP-MHP fascism in every field.”
