People staging a sit in to protest against exclusion of BDP candidates from 12 June elections were attacked by police.

Van candidate Aysel Tuðluk and mayor Bekir Kaya were among the people when the police attacked the demonstration. Hundreds of people are staging a protest in Yuksekova also. But protests are spreading everywhere from Mersin to Istanbul to Sirnak.

Seven BDP sponsored candidates have been excluded on Monday from running the elections, by the High Elections Body.
