A police convoy was targeted with an armed attack on Thursday night in Mersin.

According to information received, a police personnel vehicle and panzer of Siteler Police Directorate were targeted in Güneþ Neighborhood at around midnight. While both vehicles were damaged, no deaths or injuries were reported.

Thirty empty cases of a kalashnikov weapon were found during the first examinations at the scene. Police and special operations teams launched an operation in the area after the armed attack.
