Police raided the homes of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Provincial co-chairs Abdullah Ekelik and Gönül Öztürk in Doğubayazıt, Ağrı. Both co-chairs were taken into custody. Later, the police raided the HDP Provincial building. Police blocked the street where the building is located.

It was learned that the co-chairs who were taken to the District Police Department were accused of "being a member of an illegal organization" and "making propaganda for an illegal organization".
