Police detain scores in raids against the ESP
A number of people were detained in simultaneous operations carried out in many cities against the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP).
Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office ordered an operation in different cities against the ESP (Socialist Party of the Oppressed).
A number of people were detained in simultaneous raids carried out in Ankara, Istanbul and Antalya.
Among those detained are Şükran Yaren Tuncer, a member of the Socialist Youth Associations Federation (SGDF) Central Executive Board (MYK), and Ece Şimşek, an employee of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Headquarters.
The prosecutor's office announced that a detention order was issued for 23 people. However, it is not known how many people have actually been detained so far.
