DEDAÞ (Diyarbakýr Tigris Electricity Distribution Company) teams and police raided the BDP building in Cizre district of Þýrnak province with armed vehicles on the excuse of electricity theft control.

People in the area and students from the nearby school were subjected to gas bomb attack by police after chanting slogans to protest the raid in the building.

While students responded to police with stones, a student named Yusuf Ögen was injured in the head with a gas bomb thrown by police. It was observed during the police attack that gas bombs were consciously thrown at some houses in the area.
