According to the information received, the police carried out a new operation in Mersin in the morning, targeting HDP members.

HDP Mersin Provincial co-chair Gülbahar Şöfer and HDP Party Assembly member Barış Karabıyık were detained following raids on their houses.

The reason for the detention was not disclosed. Şöfer and Karabıyık had joined a protest in front of the party’s building on Monday to condemn last week's political genocide operations against the HDP.
