One person has been shot twice and died because of the injuries sustained.

The shooting happened in Bismil during the demonstration against the decision by the Electoral Board to exclude 12 independent candidates from 12 June general election. It is not yet clear what exactly happened and who fired the shots that killed the demonstrator who was taken to Bismil State Hospital. What is known is that the police attacked the protesters and many injured are reported.
