Bahtiyar Çolak, the former court president of the Kobanê Case, in which former co-chairs of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and members of the party’s Central Executive Board are under trial, has been taken into custody in Ankara on Wednesday as part of the investigation launched against the "Atadedeler" organization, which calls itself the "commercial intelligence arm of the deep state".
As part of the investigation, Çolak's house was also searched.
According to a news report by DW Turkish, the phones in Çolak's house were confiscated, and a public prosecutor accompanied the search, pursuant to the detention and search warrant obtained from the Ankara 8th Criminal Court of Peace.
Çolak resigned from his duty after being dismissed from the Kobanê Case last summer.
