ISTANBUL
Turkish police carried out house raids in 10 districts in Istanbul. Anti-terror Unit officers detained at least 20 people in the operations.
Detainees were taken to the Istanbul Police Directorate on the Vatan Avenue.
MALATYA
7 people including HDP, DBP and IHD administrators were detained in house raids in Malatya this morning. The police broke down doors and confiscated electronic devices like phones and laptops during the raids. The detainees, detained on suspicion of “membership to a terrorist organization”, were taken to the Police Directorate.
The detainees are: Former HDP Malatya Co-chair Ozcan Agdas, DBP Province Co-chair Nermin Tuncel, IHD Malatya Chapter Co-chair Gonul Ozturkoglu, HDP Battalgazi District Co-chair Ahmet Aksu, HDP Yesilyurt District Co-chair Aziz Dogan, former HDP province administrator Hasan Karvar and party member Ahmet Turan Sertkaya.
URFA
28 people were detained in raids yesterday in Urfa. The detainees are: Veysel Erdem, Muharrem Erbek, 78’liler Initiative Suruc Activist Vahit Akgun, Halit Durdu, Berivan Canpolat, Mustafa Altindag, Mehmet Tamamboga, Halil Uluk, Abdullah Guven, Ishak Gunduz, Ferhat Unus and Salih Erbekler, a worker in the Radio Karacadag who had been released from prison last month.
