28-year-old Sinan Kaya in Iğdır S Type Closed Prison died suspiciously while the prison administration claimed that he had committed suicide.

Kaya was serving a three-year prison term in in Iğdır S Type Closed Prison for allegedly “spreading propaganda for a terrorist organization”. He was jailed 8 months ago after his prison sentence was upheld by the Court of Appeal.

The prison administration called the Kaya family last night and told them that their son had committed suicide.

The family went to hospital and received the body which was then laid to rest in the Hoshaber town.

The Kaya family said they did not believe that their son had committed suicide and called for light to be shed on his circumstances of death.
