Prisoners’ families not allowed in Ankara

Families of prisoners on hunger strikes against the isolation traveled to Ankara but were not allowed into the capital. They continue to wait by the city's entrance.

A delegation of Peace Mothers and families of prisoners who are currently on indefinite nonalternating hunger strikes demanding an end to the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocalan were not allowed to enter Ankara.

A delegation of 100 people arrived at the capital to meet with the Ministry of Justice and political parties. The delegation were stopped by the city's entrance and are being held by the Golbasi district for the last two hours.

The delegation is made up of Peace Mothers and prisoners’ families from the Van, Mardin, Batman and Amed provinces.
