It has been reported that prisoners on death fast in two cells in Kandıra prison, in Kocaeli, were subjected to heavy harassment. 

Prisoners’ families have denounced the treatment reserved to the hunger strikers. In a press release they said: "The harassment against the prisoners on death fast and hunger strike must cease. People on hunger strike and death fast are separated making their conditions even more serious.”
