The hunger strike resistance led by Leyla Guven demanding the end of isolation againstKurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues. 

Speaking on behalf of PKK and PAJK prisoners, Deniz Kaya made some remarks about the sacrifice actions. 

“Such actions started with comrade Zülküf Gezen who was the first martyr of this resistance and followed with comrades Ayten, Medya, Zehra and Uğur and again with Yonca Akıcı and Siraç Yüksek. The decision to end his life to protest isolation shook our comrades deeply and gave us great responsibilities. We want to reaffirm the need for all comrades to stick to the line of resistance indicated. We don’t consider appropriate to make such sacrifice actions.”

"We will be successful"

Deniz Kaya continued: "The policies of oppression, intimidation, arrest are all carried out by the ruling power to hide its fear.

As long as the Kurdish people are behind the hunger strikers in prison we will surely be successful. Our resistance will continue until isolation is lifted. 

We, the prisoners of the PKK in North Kurdistan jails are continuing the hunger strike we underwent 109 days ago.”
