A demonstration was staged in Prag in protest at Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu who is visiting Czechia after Turkey’s recent announcement of preparations for a new cross-border operation in North-East Syria.
Kurdish and Czechian activists gathered outside the office of the Foreign Ministry and expressed their reaction to the visit, displaying flags of Rojava’s defense forces YPG/YPJ and unfurling a banner that read "Stop Turkish Terrorism in Rojava".
The activists called on Czechian Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky to not support the Turkish state’s attacks against the Kurds.
Accompanied by Kurdish music and slogans, the demonstration continued until Çavuşoğlu left the ministry.
