Mercenaries of the occupying Turkish state attacked and desecrated the graves of martyrs at the Cemetery of Martyrs in Manbij.
Families of martyrs living in Manbij were shocked by the inhuman scene they encountered when they visited the graves of their martyrs' children on the morning of Eid al-Fitr. The families saw the graves of their children attacked and desecrated by the mercenaries of the occupying Turkish state.
The immoral practices of the invading Turkish state, which does not even respect the graves, caused serious anger among the people of the region.
On the other hand, inhumane practices in North and East Syria were not limited to the city of Manbij. Dozens of photos and videos circulated on the internet and social media show the same destruction perpetrated by Turkey’s mercenaries in the cemeteries of martyrs in other cities under occupation.
Stating that the immoral practices against martyrs' graves insult their sanctity, the families of martyrs emphasized that the Turkish state is trying to eliminate the symbols of freedom struggle and self-sacrifice.
Footage published by ANHA shows the extent of the destruction at the Manbij cemetery of martyrs, with tombstones broken into pieces.
