Protest in Strasbourg against Turkish attacks on South Kurdistan

Activists of the Kurdish youth movements protested in Strasbourg against the attacks of the Turkish army on Southern Kurdistan.

Turkish fighter jets have continued attacks on civilian settlements in Southern Kurdistan in the last days and weeks. Three civilians were killed in an air raid on the immediate surroundings of the Maxmur refugee camp on 15 April.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, activists are looking for creative ways to express their protest in a sensible way. Members of the "Revolutionary Youth Movement" (TCŞ) and the "Young Free Women" (JCA) protested in Strasbourg against the attacks of the Turkish army on Southern Kurdistan. Activists hung up a banner on a bridge and displayed PKK flags and the images of the Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Ocalan.
