Protests against isolation in four European cities

Protests and demonstrations against isolation were held in Toulouse, Vienna, the Hague and Stuttgart.

Solidarity continues to grow in Europe where people take to the streets every day to support hunger strikers.

Demonstration in Toulouse

A protest was organized in Toulouse to demand the end of isolation and express solidarity to Leyla Güven and the hunger strike resistance.

The action was promoted by the Toulouse Women's Committee to voice the demands of hunger strikers urging the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Activists called on the CPT to put pressure on the Turkish government to end isolation as soon as possible and to meet the demands of Leyla Güven and the other hunger strikers.

Action in Vienna

A meeting was held in Vienna to voice the demand of Leyla Güven and the other hunger strikers, who ask the end of the isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Meeting in Stephansplatz, Kurds and their friends carried photographs of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and Leyla Güven, as well as other hunger strikers.

The Democratic Kurdish Community Center dedicated the action to Nina Ahmedi, who had worked for years with the Kurdish Women's Movement in Austria and lost her life on Wednesday.

In a meeting that started with a minute silence, Azadi Yılmaz delivered a speech in memory of Nina Ahmedi. There were emotional moments during Yılmaz's speech.

A ceremony will be held at Vienna DKTM in memory of Nina Ahmedi.

Protest in the Hague

A protest against isolation was organised in the Hague city in the Netherlands. The action was held in front of the Interior Ministry and was promoted by TJK-E.

Solidarity tent in Stuttgart

A solidarity tent was also organised in Stuttgart. The Life Against Isolation Platform put up the solidarity tent in Schlotpaltz to inform the people about the hunger strikes demanding the end of isolation against Abdullah Öcalan.
