In Sirnak and Uludere all shops were closed today in protest of the Turkish military operations on the region.

Sirnak is a scene of escalated violence between Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) guerrillas and Turkish military.

Only pharmacies and backeries remained open in both towns.  

Police and military patrols are increased and security was tightened since this morning.

At least 7 military personnel were killed in recent clashes between PKK and Turkish military.
