The operation launched by YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to liberate Raqqa on June 6 continues at full force.

According to reports from the ground, SDF fighters have cleared the Raqqa Courthouse in city center following fierce clashes with ISIS gangs.

In Nahda neighbourhood east of the city, 17 ISIS members, including an emir (leader) were killed during clashes, and SDF fighters foiled a suicide car bomb attack by destroying a bomb-laden vehicle operated by the gangs before it reached its target.

Heavy fighting between SDF and ISIS continued also in Emin, Sekene and Mansur neighborhoods Friday evening and clashes reportedly continue in these areas.
