Relatives of martyrs meet in Bielefeld

Innumerable Kurdish families have lost relatives in the liberation struggle. Some of them have met and exchanged information in Bielefeld over the weekend.

In Bielefeld, relatives of martyrs from the ranks of the Kurdish freedom movement met on Sunday to exchange views and find a common way of dealing with the loss. The approximately 60 family members followed an invitation of the Kurdistan Center in Bielefeld and traveled from different places to the area.

The meeting was opened with a speech by the chairman of the Bielefeld committee of martyrs’ families. Afterwards photos and videos of numerous Kurdistan martyrs were screened.

This was followed by speeches of individual relatives, who spoke about the importance of a common culture of remembrance. Afterwards the participants exchanged their contact details and concluded the event with a joint meal.
