The remains of three villagers were found during excavation in the Yaðýzoymak (Zivoga Hecîelî) Village of the District of Güçlükonak (Basa) in the Þýrnak Province. The families were able to identify them by the clothes they were wearing.
The families identified them as Sait Þen, Beþir Baskak and Abdullah Güler. The three were taken by soldiers from the Yaðýzoymak Gendarmerie Station with two others in 1993.
One of the men was wearing a wedding suits which helped Abdulsamet Baskak to recognize his older brother Beþir Baskak’s body.
According to locals, three villagers were thrown into a crag after being taken from their home by village guards and soldiers. Then soldiers bombed them to be sure they were dead. Pieces of bodies and clothes part were put in plastic bags separately and buried together in a grave by locals.
No one reported the murder to any authority as the fear was too strong back in the 1990's. Extrajudicial killings and disappearances were happening on a daily basis.
These three families applied to the appropriated institutions in 2010 and the prosecutor finally ordered the alleged grave to be dig.
According to allegations two more bodies were buried around this grave.
