The frozen body of a man, possibly a refugee, was found in the neighbourhood of Kaşım (Qaşîm), in Çaldıran, at the border with Eastern Kurdistan. According to the information received, residents found the frozen male body along the border.

Soldiers went to the scene after locals alerted them and took the body to Van for autopsy. The unidentified body is presumed to belong to a refugee.
