Resistance vigil continues at Kobanê border

While the operations of YPG/YPJ fighters to liberate the entire territory of Kobanê continues on all fronts, the vigil held in support of the Kobanê resistance at the border villages of Suruç is also ongoing in its 175th day.

Fighters of the YPG/YPJ (People's / Women's Defense Units) who are advancing towards the frontiers of Jarablus on the eastern front are also continuing the cleansing operation in Axbaş and Xanê villages of Tal Abyad on the western front in the 175th day of the resistance against the attacks of ISIS gangs launched on 15 Sept. in an attempt to occupy Kobanê.

While the operations of YPG/YPJ fighters to liberate the entire territory of Kobanê continues on all fronts, the vigil held in support of the Kobanê resistance at the border villages of Suruç district of Urfa in North Kurdistan is also ongoing in its 175th day. This morning hundreds of villagers and activists saluted the YPG/YPJ fighters by forming a human chain at the border line, turning their faces towards Kobanê.

The villages at North Kurdistan side of the border also continue to host hundreds of people coming each day from all over Turkey, North Kurdistan and the world in support of the resistance in the town of Kobanê.

This morning, hundreds of people formed a human chain which has now become a tradition on the 175th day since the beginning of the vigil actions in Suruç. The activists turned their faces at the borderline towards Kobanê chanting slogans “Long Live Kobanê resistance”, Long Live YPG/YPJ”, “Long Live Leader Apo” and “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi (Woman, Life, Freedom)”.
