Martyr Salih Kandal Revenge Units said in a written statement: "On 4 June, our units carried out an action against the wheat field affiliated to the General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises (TIGEM) in the Ceylanpinar district of Urfa."

The statement added: “Thousands of acres of cultivated land were turned into ashes as a result of the action and a hay baler was destroyed. Our unit returned safely to base.”

Underlining that they carried out this action in memory of Salih Kandal, one of the leading cadres of the PKK who resisted and fell a martyr in Hilvan in 1979, the Units added: “The fascist regime carries out all kinds of persecution, massacre, torture and denial policies against the Kurdish people and is therefore a target of our actions.”
