Road to and from Maxmur camp still closed
After the attack in a restaurant in Hewlêr targeting Turkish consulate employees which left three people dead, the KDP closed all ways in and out to Maxmur Camp.
The KDP asayish (Security) forces closed the Hewlêr-Mexmur road and haVE not allowed anyone to come to Hewlêr from Maxmur for 7 days.
Immediately after the attack, Hewlêr-Kerkûk, Hewlêr-Sulaymaniyah and Hewlêr -Maxmur roads were closed to traffic. However while the other roads have been reopened a few hours after the attack, the road to Maxmur has remained closed for 7 days.
No one is allowed to leave Maxmur, even for patients and emergencies.
