Roj Tv campaign on social networks

Kurdish and social media networks have launched a support campaign for Roj TV which is under trial in Denmark and face closure. Roj TV case is expected to end on 14 December.

Referring to farcical allegations about Roj Tv, profile photos on Twitter and Facebook will be put upside down within the scope of the campaign. The message is "give a upside down look at an upside down case".

Actions and activities to support Roj Tv continue in Kurdistan, Turkey and Europe on the eve of Wednesday's hearing in Denmark. Kurdish Information Technology, which has hundreds of thousands of members on social media, has launched a new huge campaign to support Roj Tv.

Bijwenist, Cegerxwin Culture and Art Center, Don’t Close Roj Tv, Dicle Fýrat Culture and Art Center, Osman Baydemir, Selahaddin Demirtaþ, Ahmet Türk, Altan Tan and Sýrrý Süreyya Önder Fan Pages, Jiyan Bi Kurdî Xweþê, ANF News Agency, Amed News Agency, Qýrýxizm, Koma Hivron, Mülteci Bakýþ, Êz aþýke teme, TwitterKurds,Turkey’s Women’s Union, Özgür Gündem and BDP, as well as hundred pages will put their profile photos upside down from today.

All pages have today called on their members to put their profile photos upside down from today till 14 December to support Roj Tv which is the sound and eye of Kurds and intended to be closed as a result of international relations and benefits.

On the other hand, Roj Tv supporters have started to send “Don’t close Kurds’ voice Roj Tv” messages to Danish Presidency, Ministries of Justice and Foreign Affairs.

The most significant step of the campaign will be taken on 13 December, one day before the trial in Denmark.

Supporters of the campaign will send on Twitter (#voiceofpeaceROJTV) solidarity messages to Roj Tv and call on the Danish government not to be an instrument to the dirty politics Turkish state follows against Kurds.
