Rojava Administration to open representation offices in the US and UK

Democratic Autonomous Administration representation offices will be opened soon in the US and the UK, and relationships with some Asian countries, Jordan, Egypt, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates have been expanded.

Efrîn Democratic Autonomous Administration Executive Assembly held its regular meeting. Executive Assembly co-chairs Hêvî Mustefa and Osman Şêx Îsa and council co-chairs attended the meeting. The councils’ efforts and obstacles they faced were discussed.

TEV-DEM coordination member Henîfe Hisên and the Democratic Autonomous Administration Europe representative Sinem Mihemed were also present in the meeting.

The meeting started with a minute’s silence and Democratic Autonomous Administration Europe Representative Sinem Mihemed gave a speech where she stated that they have conducted meetings with the US, Canada, the Netherlands and other European countries as well, and that the situation in Syria and ways to resolve the current crisis were discussed in these meetings where the Northern Syrian Federation project was also explained.

Sinem Mihemed stated that Democratic Autonomous Administration representation offices will be opened in the US and the UK shortly, and that they have been engaging in diplomatic relations with some Asian countries, Jordan, Egypt, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.

TEV-DEM Coordination Member Henîfe Hisên spoke on the current political situation in Syria and Rojava. In her speech, she stated that the Geneva talks resembled theater plays and that the forces who attended the Geneva talks wanted to deepen the Syrian crisis.

Henîfe Hisên remarked that Rojava was able to organize in the military, ideological and political senses with all the peoples coming together and continued: “And this is possible through a democratic federation. We have a relationship with the International Coalition against ISIS led by the US, and on the other hand we have a positive relationship with Russia in the fight against ISIS.”

Monthly activity reports from councils were read in the rest of the meeting and discussions were held on the efforts.
