Saturday Mothers and Families of Forcibly Disappeared People staged sit in in various cities to ask justice and remember people who were kidnapped and killed by security forces mostly in the 1990s.
In the Cizre District of Þýrnak, Dayikên Þemiyê (Saturday Mothers in Kurdish) gathered in front of Cizre High School. The meeting was a tribute to Ali Karagöz who disappeared after being taken from his home by the chief of village guard Kamil Atak and his group in 1990 in Cizre.
In Diyarbakýr and Batman, the Families of Disappeared Families dedicated their sit in to Ebedin Yaþlý, who disappeared after he visited Deðer Gendarmerie Station on April 10 1992.
In these meetings, the latest widespread house raids and arrests across Turkey were condemned.

This sit in was dedicated to 11 villagers who were killed by soldiers in the Güçlükonak Village of Þýrnak on Ocak 12 1996. Their remains have never been found by their families.
