SDF Commander Felat speaks at the Conference in Rome

SDF Commander Rojda Felat attended the conference held in Rome under the title “Democratic Confederalism, Municipalism and Global Democracy - Vision and Strategies from Kurdistan”.

The conference held in Rome under the title “Democratic Confederalism, Municipalism and Global Democracy - Vision and Strategies from Kurdistan” continues. The conference which will end today is attended by academics from all around the World.

Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Commander attended Sunday morning’s session titled “Key in Social Revolutions: Women’s Freedom” and talked about the female fighters.

Felat highlighted the achievements made in the historic resistance mounted against ISIS in Kobanê which -she said- had an impact on the entire world.

Emphasizing the constructiveness of this internationalization, Felat said YPJ has also grown stronger in this way.

Felat remarked that Kurdish women have manifested a true bravery and underlined the importance of revealing the will of women. She called for increased solidarity with the YPJ.

Felat made it clear that the fight against ISIS continued at the moment and there was a threat of re-emergence of danger. “Our comrades are defending the people in all areas,” she added.

Referring to female internationalists, Felat said that the demand of these people was a common and free life.

Stressing that women could join hands and build a more honorable and freer life together, SDF commander ended her speech with the slogans “Jin jiyan azadî” [Woman, Life, Freedom] and “bê serokatî jiyan na be” [No Life Without the Leader].
