The Turkish army is bombing Kilis and Reyhanli in an attempt to legitimize their attacks on Efrîn. 20 rockets have hit the two towns since yesterday, while the SDF issued a statement saying they “have nothing to do with the attacks”.
At least 20 rocket projectiles have hit Kilis city center and Hatay’s Reyhanli district since yesterday.
Many homes, businesses and vehicles suffered material damage. PSAs telling the citizens to not leave their homes were made through the municipalities’ loudspeakers constantly in Kilis and Reyhanli as 50 people were reported to be wounded.
SDF General Command issued a statement and said, “The areas outside of Efrîn’s borders have never been targeted by our forces.” The center of the district is not close to the border, which, combined with the statement, makes the citizens question the attacks.
Meanwhile, in Hatay’s Kirikhan district, intense artillery fire has continued since early morning hours along the border.
