SDF liberate an area of 146 km2 during 10 days of the Tabqa operation
According to the 10-day balance sheet of the Tabqa operation, SDF fighters liberated an area of 146 square kilometers that involves 13 villages and 10 hamlets.
According to the 10-day balance sheet of the Tabqa operation, SDF fighters liberated an area of 146 square kilometers that involves 13 villages and 10 hamlets.
Wrath of Euphrates Operation Room Command released the 10-day balance sheet of the operation to liberate the Tabqa town and the Euphrates River which was launched on March 21 with an airlift mission into the Tabqa region.
The balance sheet announced by Wrath of Euphrates Operation Room Command stated the followings:
"An area of 146 km2 involving 13 villages and 10 hamlets was liberated by our fighters who took control of all the roads leading to Tabqa and broke all the lines of defense of the gangs.
- A total of 79 gang members including 2 gang leaders were killed and corpses of 29 ended up in the possession of our fighters.
- 5 gang members were captured alive.
- 5 military vehicles and 2 DShK-type weapons of the gangs were destroyed.
- A large number of munitions was seized from the gangs, including 3 military vehicles, 80 anti-tank mines, 150 mortar missiles, 74 grenade launcher bullets and 1 bomb-laden vehicle.
- Over 100 mines planted by the gangs were neutralized.
- During the 10 days of operation, 4 comrades of ours fell martyr whilst putting up a brave fight, and 4 others were injured.
