SDF liberates Sihêl village southwest Raqqa

SDF fighters have cleared Raqqa's Sihêl village of ISIS.

The operation to liberate Raqqa by YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces continues at full force in its eight day.

As SDF advances both in the city and the countryside, fighters started to move to liberate the Sihêl village 7 km southwest of the city last night.

Clashes that erupted after SDF's entrance in the village continued into the morning hours. The village has been liberated in the wake of fierce clashes with ISIS groups.

SDF fighters have started search and sweep efforts in the village, seizing one body and a Kalashnikov rifle of the gangs.
