ISIS gangs launched an attack on the positions of SDF fighters in Tabqa's Abû Qibab village at around 17:00 local time Saturday evening.

The attack with heavy weaponry and armored vehicles faced an immediate and harsh response from SDF fighters, which resulted in clashes.

Following three hours of fighting, the attack was repelled. Many ISIS members were killed during clashes but the exact number couldn't be clarified.

SDF fighters started search efforts in the area.
