SDF rescue more civilians in Tabqa and transfer them to safe areas
SDF fighters making further advances in the Tabqa region have rescued more civilians and transferred them to safe areas.
Fighters of the YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) that continue their advance towards the Tabqa city as part of the Operation Wrath of Euphrates to liberate Raqqa have rescued a number of civilians living in Tabqa region.
The rescued civilians have been transferred to safe areas where they met with other civilians evacuated from ISIS-held areas to SDF-held territory.
The city of Tabqa is located 40 km southwest of Raqqa and is besieged by SDF from three sides at the moment.
