Second day of march for Shengal in Germany
“Stop genocide, status for Shengal” is the motto of the march for Shengal and the Yazidi people.
A two-day march has been launched from Celle to Hannover on Friday under the motto “Stop genocide, status for Shengal”. The march is organised by the Shengal Council in Diaspora (MŞD).
Activists have gathered in Lehrte in the morning and observed a minute’s silence before launching today’s stage of the march on the second day.
Those participating in the march include KCDK-E (European Kurdish Democratic Society Congress) co-chair Yüksel Koç, FED-DEM co-chair Tahir Koçer and FED-DEM Lower Saxony spokesperson Letîf Karakaş.
Following today’s march from Lehrte to Hannover, the activists will stage a rally in front of the Lower Saxony State Parliament. They will submit a dossier on Shengal to the Lower Saxony State Parliament this afternoon.
