Seven people were taken into custody following house raids carried out by police and gendarmerie in Siverek, Hilvan, Bozova, Viranşehir and Ceylanpınar (Urfa).

They are accused of "making propaganda for an illegal organisation". Two people were not taken into custody as they were not at their address. During the raids police smashed the doors of the houses and several items in the houses were broken.

Ramazan Kızoğlu and Süleyman Erbil were arrested in Siverek, Mehmet Ayhan in Hilvan, while  Ahmet Gerçek and Muharrem Gerçek were not detained as they were not in the borough of Deliler (Dîna) in Bozova. Four more people whose names could not be learned were detained in Ceylanpınar and Viranşehir.

All detainees were brought to Urfa Provincial Security Directorate.
