The shops are closed today in Kýzýltepe (Mardin) to protest against military operations and to draw attention to Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, who said last week that he would withdraw from the process as there is no interlocutor.

Like many cities in the past week, today shutters are down in Kýzýltepe and in the afternoon the local branch of BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) has organized a protest for the city centre.
