The DBP said that "isolation must be lifted as soon as possible," and launched a campaign on social media with the hashtag #TecridiKırmakİçinKartGönder (#SendCardToBreakTheIsolation).

The Democratic Regions Party (DBP) published a number of posts on social media to condemn "the inhumane isolation in Imralı" that "has exceeded 1000 days. We are sending a card to Imralı to break the absolute lack of communication."

The DBP added: "Democracy will not be realized unless the isolation is broken. For a real and safe democracy, lift the isolation and listen to Mr. Öcalan's voice."

The People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) also joined the social media campaign posting the following message: "The isolation policy led to poverty, war and conflict. For the peace and development of the people, isolation must be lifted as soon as possible and international laws must be implemented. #TecridiKırmakİçinKartGönder."

We must enlarge the struggle

Uçar said: "This silence darkens the lives of all peoples. Mr. Öcalan's ideas and discourses are very important for this country and democracy. Let's join hands against the isolation and be a voice against this silence."

DBP co-chairs Çiğdem Kılıçgün Uçar and Keskin Bayındır also joined the campaign. Bayındır said: “The isolation system implemented in Imralı today, in the person of Mr. Abdullah Öcalan, is a part of this system and it is intended to be applied to the whole society, and in particular to the Kurdish people. We will further expand the struggle to end the absolute isolation."
