Solidarity night with Rojava in Florence

A solidarity event with Rojava was held in Italy promoted by Heyva Sor.

Heyva Sor a Kurdistan-Italy and ARCI organized an event in the city of Florence to express solidarity with Rojava.

ARCI official Manfredi Sauro drew attention to the attacks on Rojava. Stressing that the democratic system established in Rojava is an example also for the European society, Sauro said: "We should not leave this system in the hands of dictator Erdogan and jihadist mercenaries. The Italian government should end all military agreements with the Turkish state."

Alessandro Orsetti, the father of international YPG fighter Lorenzo Orsetti (Tekoşer Pling) said that his son was fighting for the Kurdish people and said: "Lorenzo fell martyr in 2019. He believed in this cause and I am ready to do my part. Everyone should do their part to support this struggle."

Saying that Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has bombed civilian settlements in Rojava, Heyva Sor a Kurdistan co-chair Alican Yildiz said: "When the people of Rojava fought against ISIS, they received support from all European people. Everyone with a conscience must express his/her solidarity with the people of Rojava."

During the event, the movie shot by Enrico Delgamba in Rojava was shown, and what was collected throughout the evening went to finance Heyva Sor.
