Solidarity with Kurdistan Norway condemns Paris massacre

Solidarity with Kurdistan Norway expressed its condolences to the victims of the attack against the Ahmed Kaya Kurdish cultural center in Paris.

Solidarity with Kurdistan Norway sent its "deepest condolences to the victims of the cowardly attack against the Ahmed Kaya Kurdish cultural center in Paris, as well as their families and the Kurdish community in general."

The group said in a statement: "This attack, carried out shortly prior to the tenth anniversary of the murder of Kurdish activists Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez is bound to be traumatic for the diaspora community all over Europe."

The group added: "While much is still uncertain about the attack and its perpetrators, we stand in solidarity with the Kurdish community and echo the demands from our friends, both in France and here in Norway, for the authorities to take the threats against the Kurdish diaspora seriously. Şehîd namirin."
