A delegation of Sri Lankan socialists visited the hunger strikers demanding the end of isolation against Abdullah Öcalan in front of the European Parliament.
The delegation of Sri Lankan socialists has come to express their solidarity to Kurdish activists who are on hunger strike in front of the European Parliament demanding the end of isolation against the Kurdish people’s leader and protesting the silence of the EU member states.
In their message the Sri Lankan group said: “Your cause is a very noble and justified cause for us. Your leader Öcalan is being kept in isolation without any legal justification.
As your leaders is imprisoned our president is also struggling under the pressure and torture of the state. Our fate is the same as yours. The main reason we are here today is to commend those who have put their bodies through the hunger strike.”
