14 Kurdish activists are on day 126 of their indefinite and non-alternating hunger strike in Strasbourg city of France demanding the end of the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The activists continue to receive visits from all around Europe and they were visited by members of the Maraş Initiative Cultural Commission on Sunday.

The commission members, visiting the hunger strikers on behalf of the Initiative, stated that they were not supporters but a part of the resistance.

Calling for the isolation of Öcalan to be brought to an end immediately, the visitors remarked that the isolation concerns the Kurdish people and all other oppressed identities.

Urging everyone to stand with the hunger strike activists, the visitors stated that the success of the protest was of major importance for the construction of democracy and co-existence.

The 14 activists commenced their indefinite and non-alternating hunger strike on 17 December 2018 with the motto “Let’s break the isolation, tear down fascism and free Kurdistan”.
