21 year-old university student Murat Eliboz was shot by police during the demonstrations staged yesterday in Baðlar district of Diyarbakýr. Eliboz was killed with real bullets used by Diyarbakýr police.

Dicle News Agency reported that Eliboz was targeted during the harsh police intervention in demonstrators who yesterday joined BDP’s meeting within the scope of "I am here. I am defending my will" campaign.

Eliboz was seriously wounded during the intervention where police used gas bomb and real bullet but he couldn’t be saved despite all immediate medical responses.

The autopsy confirmed the use of real bullet. 21 year-old student Eliboz came to his hometown Diyarbakýr after the earthquake in Van where he was studying at Yüzüncü Yýl University.

The young student was buried today.
