The Operation Cizire Storm launched by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to liberate the east of the Euphrates and Deir ez-Zor continues successfully in its 17th day.

SDF fighters got to the Suwar (Siwer) town close to Iraq-Syria border region northeast of Deir ez-Zor Tuesday morning.

As ISIS gangs are increasingly resorting to car bomb attacks in an effort to hinder the advance of SDF forces, they attempted another attack with a bomb laden vehicle which was, however, destroyed by the fighters before it reached its target.

Clashes in and around Suwar town continue.
